Malverne Police Reserve

 

The Malverne Emergency Management Committee is comprised of members of the Department of Public Works, Building Department and the four emergency service departments of the Village.

 

The Police Reserve are trained to provide additional resources as part of the Incident Command System during natural and man-made disasters. In addition to responding during Super Storm Sandy members were assigned to radio motor patrol and traffic control during overnight hours in the weeks after the storm when the Village was without electricity. Police Reserve Supervisors receive training and participate in drills of the National incident Management System (NIMS).
